Today saw the launch of the brand new lunchtime spotlight series.
It was a fantastic showcase of the talent that we have here at Hill House. For the first time in a lunchtime performance, we were treated to a drama piece, alongside our usual variety of musicians, as Grace Arnold performed her emotional sonnet, Death of a Whale.
In another first, Mr Dabbs took to the stage to display his percussion skills with his piece, Funkster,
The audience were treated to a lovely rendition of Tomorrow by Year 3’s Ruby Hull.
Other performers included Sam Brown and Kian Karim on piano; Yuvan Rajasundaram on the violin; Edward Mason playing classical guitar and Kian Tamjidi on the saxophone.
Head of Practical Music, Mrs Bodman, said, "Today's performers were outstanding and I'm incredibly proud of them all, even Mr Dabbs! To see children as young as Year 3 performing in the same series as the senior pupils is wonderful. Thank you to all the parents and pupils who came to support, we can't wait for the next one!"
