Head Girl secures place at Oxford

We were delighted to hear that Safia Khan has been awarded a place to read Medicine at Balliol College, Oxford. Safia, who followed her clean sweep of A*s at GCSE with A*A*A*A at A level, will join Balliol in September. A pupil at Hill House since the age of 3, Safia combined her studies with being Head Girl, playing saxophone in the Jazz Orchestra and leading the school debating team.

Headmaster David Holland said ‘We are all delighted with Safia’s success. It is extremely difficult to win a place at such a prestigious Oxford College; it is also very hard to win a place anywhere for Medicine. To combine the two is a testament to Safia’s ability, commitment and the hard work done by her and her teachers over the years. We are all very proud of her!’
