Blood Brothers

The Theatre was transformed into the homes and playgrounds of Liverpool as Willy Russell’s ‘Blood Brothers’ came to Hill House. The story of the Johnstone twins was beautifully told, with Joseph De Mulder and Joe Warren bringing ill-fated twins Edward and Mickey to life. Maria Torstensson’s performance as the boys’ mother was sublime, including a heart-breaking rendition of ‘Marilyn Monroe’, and Bethany Sprenger’s portrayal of an unravelling Mrs Lyons was transfixing. Many congratulations to Mr Bell and the whole cast for a wonderful production, which combined humour and pathos in equal measure!
